Melita DeBellis is the wife (of Michael Mulcahy), stepmother of two terrific sons, ages 17 and 19, “person” to a wonderful little black pug, and a Life and Career Coach who works with individuals seeking their own definition of purpose, place, and passion in their lives. In her own journey to live her purpose and passion, Melita left the corporate world in Washington, DC after 18 years in order to return to Vermont (her college town) and enjoy a wonderful quality of life in a beautiful, inspiring setting.

Melita’s Second Age markers are a BA in Spanish from the University of Vermont, and a Juris Doctor degree from the National Law Center, George Washington University in Washington, DC. Melita’s professional journey began in Washington, DC as an attorney specializing in the practice of immigration law. Her legal background took her into the area of employment law, which led to many years of experience in human resource management and consulting in the manufacturing, for-profit, and non-profit arenas.

In her search for personal fulfillment and “what else there could be”, Melita embarked on a second career. She became trained and certified in coaching by the Coaches Training Institute of San Rafael, California, and is a member of the International Coach Federation. She feels grateful that she is now transitioning into her Third Age with a clear focus on professional and personal activities that bring her great joy. In addition to her work, Melita enjoys an active membership on the Board of Directors of the King Street Youth Center in Burlington, and in her spare time she enjoys her family, as well as biking, hiking, snowshoeing, and cooking.


Mike Mulcahy

Mike is a survivor of corporate life and the 60s, both of which had an impact on his thought processes. He is the father of two (boys), husband of one and a personal coach. His professional experience includes consulting, corporate staff and executive management for Fortune 500 companies. He is also an experienced project manager, team leader, speaker, workshop leader, writer and editor.

He currently works as a Personal Coach ( helping individuals deal with change, and helping Baby Boomers figure out what they REALLY want to do with the rest of their lives. He assists organizations and small business owners through transitions. His clients have also included artists, musicians, writers, actors, chefs and restaurant owners.

Mike lives in Richmond NJ with his wife Melita DeBellis, younger son Sean and old dog Clancy. His older son, Patrick serves with the military.

Mike holds a B.A. in Sociology and an M.A. in Communication Arts from William Paterson University. His coaching training has been through the Coaches Training Institute (CTI). Mike is a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the NJ Professional Coaches Association (NJPCA).

Nancy’s personal experience of living in her Third Age and reinventing herself and her work has been enriching and rewarding and she enjoys guiding others during their Third Age journeys. She consults, coaches and facilitates in organizations as well as coaches individuals regarding work/life issues. She is personally renewed and inspired by living in Minnesota on the bluffs of the St. Croix River where she reads, writes, walks, canoes, kayaks and sings as much as possible.

Nancy has worked for over 20 years as an internal/external consultant focusing in the areas of organizational and team change/renewal and leader development. She has developed innovative leadership and mentoring models and designed/facilitated related workshops while demonstrating exceptional competency in group process and executive, team and personal coaching.

She is a member of the Minnesota Organizational Development Network and the Minnesota Coaches Association. She participated in the New Ventures West coaching program and is certified in administering various group and individual assessment tools, including the MBTI. She also participates in an ongoing Edges Learning Community for coaches and for the past several years has been following her passion more formally by pursuing a course of studies for a Doctor of Ministry degree focusing in spirituality studies, with an emphasis on spirituality and work.
